An oversized variator will give you a little more top end and is much easier to find than a gear kit. _________________ 1986 Honda Spree (sold)

I have yet to see a performance gear kit offered for a 50 cc scoot. The idea to have one has kicked around the forum in a few threads but as far as I know, it has not been reported to have been done yet.
I do hope you find one though, it would be real interesting to read your report of how well it works.

| Hi. I've got chinese sanli(bt49qt-7) with 12" rear wheel and I have been lookin for final gear upgrade. I noticed that some repairing manuals I've seen say that scooters with 10" wheels have final drive with ratio of ~10:1 and I measured my scooter by rotating the rear wheel by hand and counting the rotations of the clutch. It seems that mine has final transmission ratio of ~15:1. So has anybody tried to fit these 10" gears to a 12" scooter? |
