Hi guys, when the other half sold her Baotian scoot I thought I would not need to visit the site anymore. I was wrong, she has bought a chinese motorcycle a 125 and I was wondering if the very inteligent Mr Green would know how I could de restrict it? The bike is a Pioneer Neveada, I asked the company where we bought the bike and was told that it can be done but they are not allowed to tell me how to do it. I pushed the person on the other end of the phone and he said ok, you can do something to the throttle and something to the carb that will do it, but thats all he would say.
Can anyone help us?

Have you opened the carb up yet? It seems to be the new chinese high street fashon to restrict by sticking a bolt in the carb. That may be what he meant by the throttle as the pin isnt allowed up as high with it in. Once the bolt is out (if there is one) then the mixture needs to be adjusted to suite the new pin rising level.
Dunno if this helps. If it does do something then you may wanna look at the old boatin guide and see jsut how much applies to your other halves bike.
Hippy Out..

To be honest if its a 125cc I can't see why it would be restricted as UK law doesn't require it to be restricted unless the power output is above 14.6 Bhp._________________ XT125T-6 |

you might have already got it by now but I thought I'd let you know anyway, I have the same bike, it's nice looking but not so hot at high speed, I got mine up to 70mph, but it vibrated like crazy and shook the bolts on the clutch lever to bits, so use this at your own peral!
first thing to do is go around the bike and tighten all the loose bolts as you dont wanna end up like I did on the motorway with no clutch!
anyway, have a look at the exhaust, there are some rubber tubes attached to both the pipes, these are blowing exhaust fumes back into your carb, this is used to keep the bhp down, just remove them and block them off, I used cable ties, it's no biggy, but when you go to get the mot done remove them.
you wont see much more out of it, but it will get you to the higher speeds your looking for.

| has anyone else done this? what effects did you have???? I might have ago but does it alter the sound cause for a one two five thay are 'quite' nice sounding I think it has been designed to sound as well as look like a bigger bike, oh and my foot rest on left hand side fell off so had to keep in third gear and ride 15 miles starting and stopping was not fun, glad there where no hills
