Hi
The keihin jets from adrenalin pedstop fit the carb on my wifes 2006 sukida fine.
I have fitted a #80 which is a great improvement from the std #72
But it is not perfect I will have another go at it this weekend.
Bye and thanks for all the fish. |

you need to adjust the needle(see pics at the start of this guide) move the needle down a notch to let more fuel through and up a notch to let less fuel through the jet. it's just fine tuning and she'll run good. _________________

Ok........checked the carb........no brass screw and needle washer is already on center. Cant see cdi unit near the battery so will trace it. Not sure how this is restricted, unless its the jet.
Its a new baotian bt49 qt12 tanco btw, I aint derestricting it yet but was curoious |

Weird story!
I took the carb cover off, removed the screw in the cover and take a look at the needle. Only found a fixed washer and no rubber gasket at the bottom of the tube. The fixed washer was on the bottom groove of the needle, butt I remembered something about the middle groove. So I moved it to the middle one.
When I wanted to reasemble it, I dropped one of the screws that hold the carb cover in place. I was lucky though, the restricting screw fit in it's place, and it's nut acted as a washer. Test drove the scoot, only 40 km/h. Horror! I thought it was just the choke, but it warmed up in a few km and still it sounded weaker than before (when it accelerated fine to 45).
I climbed the stairs back to my apartment, took a look here, and then replaced the washer on the bottom groove. What a change! 60 km and sounded like it wanted more. I'll have to see about the fuel consumption later this week. _________________ Proud owner of a JMSTAR- JSD50QT-13/Speedy |

Hi all ,
great thread so far , learnt lots.
I have a Lifal LF50QT-2A .... looks just the same and I guess has the same motor.
My question is , has anyone reset the tappets and if so what gap did you use.I bought my ride second hand after a crash and have no manual and most bike shops round here just dont wunna know !!!
My motor is quiet when I first start it up but once it gets up to running tempt , there is a loudish tap tap tap.Hoping its the tappets not a gudgen or bottom end !!
I am in New Zealand and these (2005) model must be unrestricked when brought in as I have not beeen able to find anything so far and it goes like trhe clappers |

I just used my father-in-laws and there was nothing to remove.
I'm so frustrated as I can't even ride this thing as cars just pile up behind me.
What a waste of money! |

Take out your spark plug and look at it. Then start a new topic in engine called: "Help" and tell us what color the spark plug is.
You really need your own post thread so we can walk you through it.
You might have a small main jet. You need at least a #79 or an #80.
Have you seen this?

What country do you live in?
How old are you?
You seem frustrated and I can understand that, but getting all pissed is not going to help you go faster. |

| I have been fallowing this forum for a while and have gotten solid advice from everyone. I just got a SL50-Qt for $688 and spent $20 putting 4gram roller weights and a #80 main jet in and now my scooter will go over 40mph and it gets there fast. I don't know how fast I am going because the spedo only goes to 40 and it will go all the way until it sticks. any way I wanted to say thanks for everyones help and I look for ward to talking to everyone. |
