Why?
If 28mph was all they wanted the bike to ever go, why not just put in a 5.5:1 compression motor with tiny valves and a near-lobeless camshaft. Uncork that! you.... you... teeny-bopper you! _________________ Parents: DO NOT let your child chew on your scooter!

And the strange cap in the airbox intake was removed also?

Yes, if I remove it the scooter starts to bog at about 4/5 throttle.. But when I put it back, it runs a bit too rich but it also runs at higher rpm:s and so it goes faster, though. Seriously, wtf... |

you may have a small jet. on the needle in the carb, move the washer up a notch to lower the pin to let less fuel in and try it down a notch to let more fuel in. it's trial and error and you might be able to fine tune it using the needle, if not, put it back how it was. _________________

|
|
Hi I am trying to part derestrict my wifes scooter.
It's a 2006 Sukida SK50QT-11A. It has the small main jet #74 I think and a long nut in the top of the carb to stop it opening.
I have been trying to find somone to buy a jet off with no luck. First I paid scooter assasins about £6 by paypal but no jet turned up and I have had no returns to my emails
Does anyone know where I can get one from a UK dealer ?
Thanks

I belive you'll need the kehin jets. a 79/80 for a stock airbox, an 85 if you have a freeflow filter(they get soaked in the rain). _________________

| I have read about the various derestricting techniques and was wondering if it was possible to tell what type of restriction device was fitted by the symptoms of the scooter at speed. I have a new BT49-QT12 scoot and it gets to about 33 mph then surges and only goes faster downhill. On this assumption it probably wont be a spacer in between the plates. I am not planning to derestrict it yet as its too new and has a warranty on it. I also noticed that the breather hose just dangles and all the attachment points on previous models are blanked with proper blanking plugs(keeps air filter clean). Anyway was just wondering as I dont want to start a job I dont need to in the future. |
