Maybe you haven't cleaned it well enough before painting it.

They rust from the inside, thats where the moisture and bear metal is so your always gonna get rust, buy a better on from a jap scoot, hammerite paint is good on outside but like I said it wont last for ever

Very true, but at least by painting them you will prevent the outside rust hurrying to meet the inside rust.

Hello,

Here is Maxxspeed. A few weeks ago I bought a chinese scooter. Do you know a way to do something with the exhaust so it can go 55 km/hour?

best regards,
Maxxspeed

You cant rust proof the inside of a pipe anyway, thats where most of the rust occurs, due to the heat and condensation.

We used to work on Diesel Generators and back then we found that for some reason high temp silver lasted longer than high temp black.

Any thoughts on that?

I have read somewhere that spraying the exhaust with motorex 645 stops corrosion. dont know how often this needs to be done. going to try it on my scoot when it arrives - so if anyone reads this in the future contact me and I will let you know if it works - unless someone else has tried this?

It'd be good to know... that for the inside or out?

external. you spray on and rub over. seemingly it doesnt burn off, but I think would have to be applied every so often.

I'm a chinese supplier of performance parts. I'd be gald to share my experience with scooter owners here. I am also a scooter-lover.

My suggestion is:
1. Put a cover on the scooter when in rain.
2. If already rusted, use stainless steel or carbon fibre ones to replace it.
It can give better look and also performance.

I would like to recommed the following mufflers for GY6 50cc, 125cc, 150cc, and other 4-stroke, you can by from eaby or from us when you need them.
1. rainbow silncer: http://www.highperhz.com/sdp/381507/4/pd-1936842/4620320-970935.html
2. carbon firbre: http://www.highperhz.com/sdp/381507/4/pd-1936842/4598684-970935.html
3. chrome: http://www.highperhz.com/sdp/381507/4/pd-1936842/4598467-970935.html
