Confused

It is a good scooter so far (4000 miles).

The Good
Starts right up every time. I live in California, so no "off season" to speak of. I use it to commute 15 miles on the freeway. Decent power and I can keep up with traffic except on steep hills where I slow down to 63 (I weigh 200 pounds so I guess the 14 horsepower is just "not enough"). It comes with these HUGE TRUNKS for carrying things--especially if you take out the speakers from the top trunk. You can carry 3 bags of groceries and a 12 pack of beer-Honest Laughing

The Bad
It sits really low to the ground and has this tiny little drive wheel in the back. The wheelbase is LLOOONNG. That makes leaning into curves a challenge. Suggest any new owners ride a few months and slow down A LOT for curves until you are used to it. It is NOT STABLE when being passed or when passing semi-tractor trailers or when there is a significant side wind. You feel insecure. It is mostly feel, though and not really loss of control. You do get used to it, but I haven't lost that "heart in throat" feeling quite yet.

The Ugly
Honestly, the scooter is ugly. No getting around it.

OVERALL
I do enjoy it better than any of the motorcycles I've ever owned. I've owned Hondas (350 and 305), Bridgestone, and a Harley. Not a lot of power, but that isn't what I want anymore--I just want something to take me to the store and back running errands around town. It is also a reasonable commute vehicle in these days of >$4/gal gas.

I am currently going over all the 150,250 scooters since it is time to upgrade from the toy. Like you I have owned the others, Honda, Zuki,Yama, Bridgestone (RIP) Harley and dont need the zip, noise heat anymore. Your comments on the tires and wheelbase back up what I had reasoned. Intended usage for ride is Mountain roads, gravel and dirt as well as paved and Highway. I like style of bigger bikes but Ive allready had my share of roadburn, broken bones etc. Ive pretty much ruled out tires except 12 or 13 In. THanks for the input enjuy your ride. Icon_thumbs_up
