indeed steep price for a slow scooter, when I was around 13 I had an electric scooter that could almost keep up with them 26cc 2 stroke go-ped types

set my parents back 400 and the charge lasted round 3 hours constant use I would of thought in the past 8 years these type of scooters would be able to reach higher speeds, cost far less and hold a damn long charge.

It uses a low powered 250watt motor giving it more legal rights of use within Europe, normally a 250watt motor would output low speeds and short distances but due to it also having new battery technology instead of big 12v battery's it can output a reasonable speed and reach 12-14 miles on a charge.
It also charges as you brake. It's a totally new design from the electric scooters in Argos etc that use 12 v battery's.

lets face it, the reason kids buy scoots is the noise, even when I was young in the 1960's we put playing cards on the frame of cycles with a peg just to make a noise. look at the Leo Vince, Polini, Akrapovic etc ,exhausts, makes them noisier so other road users can hear them. I was nearly run over in or yard by a customer on an electric scoot because I didnt hear him come in.. he paid 3000 for it , great , cheap to charge but wait until he needs a new battery.
BTW, has anyone checked the carbon footprint for batteries batteries... not the greanest of resources..
