Good ideas.
But you can't weld a magnet - they are made of metals that aren't weldable.

These fit the Honda Monkey bikes - similar engines to the Chinese versions, so may fit. Don't know what one looks like (yet), so compare the picture on this site. For less than £10, may be worth investing in one . . .

Put your money back in your wallet, it wont fit, or at least not any drain plug hole on a Sukida, which is just the same as 99.9% of these bikes.
I'm not having a pop at you, but I cant see any point in putting one in-line, when you look at Hodgy boy's & Sunburns environment, hot & dusty,, they have no problems at all.
Go along with Jialins idea and araldite a magnet in the plug, you can get the plug from scooter sites, so you can play with the idea before you bugger up your own plug. Dont forget the spring will help hold it in place.
Your idea is far to over the top for whats needed, if its needed at all!

Just to let you know, the strongest magnet to suit I have found comes out of an old hard disc drive, immensley powerfull, thin and easily fileable to fit the plug.
Gettting hold of an old drive is easy enough, and when you take it aprt for an added bonus you get 2 free round mirrors for the budgies cage too!

I am not sure this was directed at me - I was mentioning a replacement plug not an in-line fitting. No offence taken, anyway - and thanks for the magnet source idea, I have a few dead HD's laying about! Jeff

Found it.

Its for the 125/150cc GY6 Engine, but will fit the 50cc as the bottom end of the engine is the same and the sump/drain plug is the same. fits my mates Sukuda, mines some other weird brand. only reason I'm using it cause I have an 85cc cylinder and race head (51mm bore), and I wanted some extra cooling instead of just a slightly better fan as I race it.
sorry and when I ment weild I ment "JB weild" its a 2 pack liquid metal glue, apparetly as strong as a weild.

Ah, but the QMB139 engine in our scooters is infact a GY6 variant, the bottom end is exacltly the same with the same crank, conrod, and flywheel/alternator/fan etc you can even fit a 150cc racing CDi to your 50cc as the ignition timing is exactly the same, usually the gear box is a little longer on the 125/150cc,s to accomidate for a larger wheel. My friend has even fitted a 150cc head with water cooling to his 50cc crank case however he had to modify the frame of his sukuda to allow enough room for the engine and all the water cooling.
He is actually working on a fuel injection system for it right now, based on the PGM-F1 used in the CBR600 motorcycles and the Bar honda formula 1 race car, apparently honda has allready made a 50cc prototype scooter using this system, its got a map all they way to 18500rpm, but I dont think our scooters will get that high, but knowing him he might find someway to fit pnumatic valves.

| Good job sunburn, and yes the oil filter is that tea screen. Next you'll be putting on a stroker crank.
