He didn't see you, because he was texting his freak girlfriend on his damn cell phone. Evil or Very Mad
You don't expect people to just drive when behind the wheel do you? Nobody can be expected to waste such time like that!
Until a chief lawmaker looses their entire family in a fatal accident with cell phone use proven as the culprit, running over a scooterist at an intersection is just an acceptable casualty in a multitasking world. Neutral

It's illegal to use a phone while driving here, is it not there?

Yeah, but I'm not sure whether it's just a fine or fine and points.

Turns out to be only 3 points and a 60 squid fine!!! That seems a bit modest.

Believe it or not, there was a law on the table forbidding non-hands-free cell phone use and texting, while driving and it was shot down! I still can't believe it! Only thing I can think of is we must have a bunch of teenagers running the state dept. Icon_dunno

On 5th gear they tested drink* driving against tired driving. The drunks were rubbish at manuvours, the tired were alright. The tired were bad at night motorway driving, the drunk were alright.

*this is just over the limit, they felt completely fine. Although they were a bit cocky and rushed around the course. So even a little bit effects you.

On another forum I pop into, a bloke was saying that his Dad stopped his bike by the window of some 4x4 driver who was on the phone and tapped on their window.

The driver wound down their window and the biker grabbed his phone and threw it across to the other side of the road and rode away! Laughing

I have to say the only time I get annoyed is when I get held up/cut up/swerved into by the geriatric drivers, the ones who are so dottled that half the time they can't even remember why they were out in the car in the first place Mad

Don't get me wrong there are some really good older drivers out there, but the ones who cause accidents etc are the ones who should be struck off and have the licence cut up.

I get a kick out of horn blowers that get all in a tizzy when you cut thru their traffic jam and continue on your way. I guess they think just because they blew their horn, I'm gonn turn back around and come back to the end of the traffic line? Laughing
Keep Dreaming!
That would totally defeat the #2 reason I bought another scooter instead of a car to begin with! To get around faster than a cage, and leave all that traffic to sit around, hunt for parking, never turn right on red, and line up light to light to light at 5pm every weekday all they want! I'm not waiting for you!
I'll be at the house thinkin about ya still waiting to get onto the expressway!! Very Happy
