A short time ago I noticed a new scooter on ebay badged as a norton villiers....I thought it was a joke but here it is..it apears that the famous british motorcycle industry is making a come back with a range of scooters and bikes made in china......they of course come with all the refinement one would expect ..with nostalgic features sutch as "O.D.S"
(oil dump system) that sprays dirty engine oil all over your best jeans....
"P.F.S"( plug fouling system) for that stranded experience we all loved.."K.B.S" (kick back system) for that authentic broken leg while starting the engine...and a nice touch is the 6 volt electrics and 5 watt headlamp bulb...and avon speedmaster square profile tyres....for that exciting cornering experience......just kidding hope it goes well for nv

Apart from the drum front brake, that looks quite nice! It look as though Yamaha have started using Chinese factoris...the front end looks very like a Yam Jog.

Bagsy a Chinese Yam BWs when they arrive!

They do, they're situated just down the road from the old TRIUMPH Meriden site, they've got most bikes we all know and ride, just branded under the Norton badge. Icon_icon_no_no Disgraceful Mad
They also sell a Villiers 50cc half-sized chopper Question and various AJS bikes manufactured in India...all rather expensive I found.

If you ask me its either sad or a complete rip off of a once famous brand name (reminds me of AJS rebadging chinese bikes).

norton-villiers used to make world class bikes years ago, the army used to use them too. Now they have sunk to the depths of rebadging cheap chinese scooters.... whats happened to this country where we cannot even make and design our own bikes??

Steve

You demanded a "living wage". Not unlike here in the States.
