Anyone: info on Motofino MFE5-13 ELECTRIC SCOOTER

I considered buying one with a similar engine (1500w). Top speed derestricted was 60kmh.

Range was also about 60-70 kilometres.

Acceleration is awesome when the 'turbo' button is used. It is located where the starter button would be on normal Chinese scoots.

The thing that made me disappointed and change my mind about buying: the emptier the battery, the slower it goes.

This scooter is only 600 watts, so in case of buying, I would consider a test ride to make sure it has enough power and is good for commute.

The batteries are the weak link here. I would be surprised if they lasted 1000 km. You could replace them with better higher quality batteries but they are very expensive. I think you would be better off going with a gas scooter.
Even if you got their claimed 377 charges out of the batteries that is still only about a years worth of use. They claim batteries are about $150 to replace, but remember with a 48 volt system this means you have (4) 12 volt batteries. All the money you save in gas will have to goto replacement batteries not to mention you will have limited range and it will go very slow when your batteries are getting low also it is very bad for the batteries to run them all the way down.

IF the scooter came with NiMH batteries or Lithium Ion batteries it would be pretty good but it doesn't. Wait a few years and the price on this type of good batteries will come down then its worth considering.

I think if you are going to use it on the beach (judging by your nickname), an electric scooter would be just fine.
