| Is there anything different that I must do to charge a scooter battery vs a car battery? Also how about getting a jump if your stuck away from home! |

Yeh... don't use a car battery charger - that'll kill it for sure. Get a small <2amp bike battery charger, and you should be sorted. Also, if you've not got a sealed battery, make sure the electrolyte levels are okay - if not, top them up with some distilled water.
Best bet for a charger (if you can find it) is the Oxford Maximiser... useful if you don't always use the bike, as you can keep it connected and it constantly monitors the battery, and keeps it safely topped up. |

also do NOT use a car BATTERY to JUMP the scooter battery. If you have the ability to kick start the bike and take it for a 20-30 minute ride at near 3/4 or full throttle then the stator on the bike should recharge the battery just fine. I don't recommend kickstarting often as it will break. The kicker is cheap and needs to be saved for emergencies. The above poster is correct. Low amperage charger or you will damage your battery.
