Hey guys
I recently sold my Baotian BT49QT-9 which I had insured with Quinn-Direct as they were the cheapest quote I found and significantly cheaper than Rampdales, bennetts etc...
I have just ordered myself a 100cc Haotian Swift from a Llexeter dealer. Of course they require a valid policy to be in effect on the bike before they can register. However this wasn't an easy task as my insurance company didn't have the bike listed on their database. Only Rampdales did and it was still for me, a tad expensive.
Anyways I rang Quinn-Direct and asked them if there was anyway they could add the haotian to their database and switch my insurance onto it, and they said the only way was for me to send them a copy of the log book and they would then ask their underwriters to look into adding it. Obviously I couldn't do that as I need the bike insuring before I can even register it. And after telling her that she said that there was nothing they could do.
So this morning I get a phone call from the woman I spoke to at Quinns yesterday, asking me if I had or could get hold of a spec sheet for the bike and if so could I fax it to them and they would look at adding the bike to their database and insure it for me! :shock:
To cut a long story short, I just printed the bikes spec page from the Llexeter website and faxed them that. 2 hours later I get another phone call from the same woman saying that the bike had been added and that it would cost me only £2 more than my 50cc Baotian to insure this new 100cc bike and would I like to go ahead! :D Of course I would!!!! And it still works out nearly £100 cheaper than rampdales!!! 8)

I'm sure they would. Just say that they did it for a friend so why not you?
