| Sun Jul 13, 2008 3:07 am Hey there everyone a really quick question!!!!! |
|
|
| I would like to say hello first off I'm new to the site and have been reading alot of post and just need to know if the parts on the scooter assassins chinese parts section will fit on my Xingyue-xy50qt? There is probably a post somewhere covering this but I can't seem to find one. I want to start modding my scoot but I'm not sure what I can buy. Thanks in advanced, Zach. |

| Just about all Chinese ??50QT-? engines (aka GT6 alikes) are pretty much the same. The ?? varies with factory, and the -? is a design variation. If it says Chinese and 50cc, you probably don't have much to worry about. |

Everything you need:

I recommend the Koso variator for beginning. It gave me extra 10km/h and better acceleration. |

| Be careful with Scooter Assassins. He takes ages to deliver. Where are you? We may be able to recommend some one more reliable. |

| The parts will fit, if you ever recieve them. There a lucky few in here that have gotten their stuff within the bikes natural lifespan. |

Go shopping for some other place to get parts rather than scooter assassins. It seems they sell a lot of parts that they don't stock. If you ever get a response from them regarding parts, they like to say "..the shipment to you was returned but they will send it out again." Yea right

| I think I will start with an exhaust and and then I believe I will shoot for the 90cc kit with cam and jets. How important is clutch work? |

I bought all the parts for my Xingyue from Scooter Assassins, really slow delivery but I got my stuff in the end.
This was my Xingyue.

Whatcha mena by how important is the clutch? It's vital to the scooter moving. It's what grabs ahold of the back wheel and spins it according to the throttle and engine speed. Unless it's already slipping, or your buildup is such that it's going to slip, then I'd leave it alone. |

I believe he meant "How important is clutch tuning when installing a big-bore kit"
Actually I have no idea, but I would believe that tuning the clutch might get more out of the big-bore kit. |

| Yes that what I mean. Like will the stock setup handle a big bore kit or will it be shakey and go out on me? Or can I ride it the dawn of time, so to speak. Thats all. I want to upgrade for safety purposes, getting into traffic easier etc., etc. Thanks again. |
