| Hi, My fuel guage is not working on my Jmstar 50qt-13. It moves a to just below empty and thats it, I have tried taking it out and cleaning it and no luck. Was just wondering if anyone could tell me how it actually worked and any solutions for my problem. It has never worked since I bought it. |

it works on a variable resistor, increasing or decreasing the resistance affects the voltage going to the gauge.
which way round the chinese scoots work I don`t know, it varies from car to car. it may be that the rod is bent wrong, or it was put in the tank wrong at the time of building it, where the float sits, is there enough room for it to rise and fall?
you can it it is actually the sender by removing it, put the ignition on, the manually rise and drom the float, see if it works that way, if so it will be something physically stopping it. |

I just had to twist mine around 180* to get mine to read past 1/2tank. Before it wouldn't go any higher no matter what I did. You may just need to reposition the float thingy. :D
Be careful retightening it. Those bolts that hold on the gas float are the flimsiest bolts ever made. I found out the hard way that you only want to go finger tight, and then start off with about a 1/2 turn with a wrench. I finally got mine to quit leaking with a sh!tload of crazy glue and even tightness with the remaining 2 bolts. |

| I wonder if there is a calibration screw on the back of the gauge itself. :?: |
