That looks pretty smart, but then I was always fond of the old Honda 50s.

Ha, I was 16 in 1970 and I got my first bike a green and white 1964 Honda C50. I went every where on it, came off it once on gravel and had to have a new cylinder head at one stage. It was brilliant it was so well made and reliable, they say it is the bike that got the whole of Asia mobile.

Looks similar to my HyBird 125cc "Cub" scooter. 4 stroke, 4 speed clutchless shift.
This is a stock photo, but it's identical, color and all.

GreaseMonkey how do you like your hi-bird cub? I find myself missing gears to shift and wanto get a motorcycle next year. The cub looks to me like a sort of median between scooter and motorcycle and what's it like to drive?

Haotian, along with Huoniao, are subsiduaries of Jiangmen Dihao:

I wouldnt be surprised if Hybird was also a Dihao brand or came off the same line.

I agree that gears are sometimes hard to hit. Try blipping (quick rev) the throttle on downchanges, and let off on upchanges. Ive realised now what the back gear pedal is...its not for heel-toe changing, the back one is a stomp pedal for downchanges.

I find the seat uncomfy though. Tips me forwards a bit.

If it doesnt wear in, Ill take off the cover and cut some foam out.

Actually...it is astonishingly well handling!

The wheelbase is still quite short, and the centre of gravity very low. It turns almost any corner at top speed :D

Though, I will be getting non-profiles tyres on it when these ones wear out, admittedly.
