looking on the old proboards forum I stumbled on this treasure :) :
Hi folks, my name's Phil. I'm a scooterist and rallygoer of some years. I've always been interested in scooters since I was a kid, but have always avoided the run of the mill types. I currently have a Baron br125t (bought from Scooter Central this year via ebay) Its exactly the same as a Honda Shadow, but has a 125 4stroke engine. I recently took this to the Isle of Wight Scooter Rally. I also have a Chunlan cl125t which I bought as a wreck to do up. It's now Mot'd and ready to go! Other scooters are a Bajaj sidecar outfit with a PX125 Vespa engine (hence the name!) and an Italjet Dragster for restoration.

I like the Chunlan, its got a sort of retro charm, yet has a disc brake and is water cooled. I got it form a chap on ebay for a song and restored it. It'll do about 55mph. It's the second of these I've had. Their only failing is scarcity of parts and the lack of a kickstarter.
I never knew you had that dragster bike! that looks so cool! it must be wierd seeing your first post again- it was for me. what other bikes have you got now px? I saw a couple 150 retros a while ago, they sounded amazing! |

Hi just seen your post and also I see that you had a chunlan starway 125 and noted that you said parts are scarce for these do you have any idea where I can get a cdi unit for this scooter?I have tried xinling to no avail,
Any help would be most welcome |

They were sold through Argos. :roll: They have mechanical parts based on Honda Spree/Elite.
You can try this scrapyard in Kent. Had a few bits and pieces.
