Thanks for all the kind words people.
I have just drilled a couple of holes in the airbox to impove the sound a tad, removed the passenger foot rests, resprayed the back box as the pant was falling off and ordered metal foot plates to replace the plastic ones.
Happy days! :D
So just out of intrest has anyone drilled holes in this kind of exhaust? (for sound and performance) it just I'm having a hard time finding one that I know will fit. |

It sure is pretty! It would look even better with a set of these on the front and rear.

Drilling out the exhaust will do nothing but make it louder, and a "performance" exhaust will do nothing either aside from maybe saving a few pounds of weight.
Since you drilled the air box, you should check your plug color. You may be on the lean side which is not good. |

Update.
Well I managed to fit a shielded performance filter to the outlet in the air box!
That way I get th better sound and dont have to fart about with the breathers etc. Its secured in place with a metal strap that runs over the top.
I dont think I need to rejet as it seem to run just the same as it did before. Smooth as before only sound a little better.
I do think I'm starting to obsess it little tho. I am still thinking about lighter rollers and a new exhaust. |
