Had my bike theory this morning so I set off riding for an hour in the rain getting lost and checking the sat nav on every street to find where I was going.

Found it so I put my bike on the kerb and chained it to a lamp post.

I found the test really hard to be fair, I only did my car one a few months back and it was easy enough. Hazard perception is easy enough.

Anyway you need 43 out of 50 to pass and I got 42!!! So I failed it all

Left the place feleing like crap so I got to my wet through bike to find I had a parking ticket on it! I didn't even know bikes could get parking tickets.

I left my helmet at the test centre so I had to do another walk of shame, then a crap 40min ride back home in the rain.

To top it all off I have to go to work this afternoon and I can't be bothered. Plus it's still raining.

£65 for nothing!

sorry to hear that mate. and I thought my day was bad(bike wouldnt start! late for college) what were the questions like? maybe you could ring up about the ticket and ask why you got the ticket? if it wasnt in the way on the pavement I can't see why not.

What type of fairing would be best for keeping you dry?

Sports
Tourer
Windscreen
Can't remember the other option

How the hell are you supposed to know that? Who cares? The correct answer is Tourer, whats a Tourer fairing? I would have choosen windscreen if I hadn't have known.

It was all weird questions like that, the car one was easy e.g. What would you go if someone pulls out in front of you? Beep at them, flash at them, call them a £$%£$%$£, or be calm and carry on as normal.

Here's one I didn't know.
When shouldn't you overtake a cyclist?

A - If you are about to turn left
B - On a dual carraige way
C - On a left bend
D - On a right bend

I chose A but I dunno if I was right.

something like that. it was the small shower one.

so the theory is £65?

My God!! We have really hard motorcycle tests here too.
First you have to know how to start your bike.
Then ride it at 20mph and stop. blow horn, use turn signal or hand signal and turn left without putting foot down. Turn on headlight then park with one wheel at the curb.
And thats about it!!!
Most take the test on a small honda 125cc or similar, then go get their 1000lb Harley and ride.

Yea practiced with that question, got it wrong obviously.Put raining hard or something.

Just realised the theory CD-ROM thing I have does have motorcycle questions. So I sould have practiced them instead of the car ones!

Test is £30 and it was £35 for parking (well parking fine)

Nevermind, I'm practicing everyday and re-doing it Tuesday. To be fair I did rush it as I wanted to get out of there asap.

dont overtake when turning left as cut bike up

dont overtake on bends as you my die if car coming other way is out of line
