here in bude, around 93% of the teenage population are chavs and nearly all of them above the age of 16 own twist and go scooters, the expensive ones as well, as they are all loaded. (isn't life fair?)

their collective I.q. is somewhere in the region of... 4?
you can't try to reason with any of them, as there is a 95.6% chance that one or more of them will start to fling his own faeces at you.

They cruise around this miserable little place in packs of 5 or so, thrashing their scoots to within an inch of their lives... and blipping the throttle to make it sound like they're changing gears.

it is, to put it mildly, an unrivalled display of idiocy and a showcase for the results of people having more money than sense.

they drive up the bridlepaths as a group, scare the sh*t out of any horses or small children and generally disregard all traffic laws and regulations.

one of them lives opposite school. I mean, literally across the road, and he rides his damn scooter to school every day.

I am SO sick of them! they have established the stereotype that all teenagers are abusive, pot-smoking, heavy drinking, dumb-as-rocks a**holes, with no respect for elders or girls, parents or whatever, and I do not like being seen in that light.

Sounds a lot like the crotchrocket scene here. At least they have the gears to change, and in rural neighborhoods, they do manage to keep speeds down to a rather considerate 105mph.

Slow children at play dontcha know... ;)

Nevertheless, we do have those types here too. Concord highschool has a parking lot full of crotchrockets and those are also the kids that get Firebirds and Mustangs with their allowance money. :roll:
While those of us with the disease known as responsibility, and a work ethic have to make do with Civics, Corollas and those of us totally writhing in utter poverty get to ride scooters, if we ride anything at all. :P

I will take some conselation in the fact that the chavs are only able to do about 30mph, because whilst they have every inclination to break the law, they lack basic mechanical knowledge... or any sort of knowledge really.

whereas, if I were so inclined (and not until I'm 17 at least) I could tweak my kinroad to make it just a bit faster, thanks to the know-how of the truly excellent folks here. :D

one of them crashed his twist and go into a parked car, on a road with no other traffic and no bends. he just... rode into it, for no apparent reason.

and then he went to hospital and his scooter went to the scrapyard :D

Shame he didn't visit the morgue, if you can just stay out of their way until they learn better. You don't want to become one of the sickening statistics of kids killing kids. They probably do carry knives. Yes one lad was killed because he looked at one of these scumbags 'funny'.

I was at school only 6 years ago and it was nothing like it is today.

Survival of the fittest? Not anymore, if anything we're in a reverse natural selection. You get rewarded for being lazy rather than the weak dying out. They have nothing better to do with their lives so they pop out a couple of kids to keep them entertained. Whilst people on the carear path don't usually have time for kids and when they do it can be too late.

It can only go one way really..

oh, that one who trashed his scoot a few posts up? he sat opposite to me in our maths GCSE's today. He didn't even touch his exam paper. they just don't give a damn, and they can get away with it...

now, 2 things could happen in about 20 years:

1) he cannot get a job because he lacks any qualifications. he becomes homeless and sleeps in doorways.

2) he cannot get a job because he lacks any qualifications. the government pays him a princely sum in benefits etc., taken out of the taxes taken from the hardworking people who consistently put the effort in and get nothing in return. he buys a crate of stella artois and a ford escort and lives in comfort in a council house that he does not pay for.

I think I'm just a natural-born victim though, the perfect target for people like these. maybe it's the only thing I'm good at... :cry:
