hi there!
I've done over 620 miles on the bike by now and I'm perfectly satisfied.
it's really hard to judge the reliability of a machine with so little mileage on the clock - once it reaches 5000 or 10000 miles I will know for sure, but I don't see much reason to complain so far
I've done some basic maintenance - spark plug, engine oil, transmission oil replacement and it runs much smoother now.
a couple of bolts needed to be tightened here and there, a glue gun comes handy in repairing the plastic threads - you've got to do that or the bike starts making these annoying clonking noises.
I'm not much of a motorcycle mechanic and this is my one and only means of transport, so somewhere in the back of my mind there is the nasty thought that if the bike brakes down I will be screwed.
most of the mileage I've done so far is in london traffic, it's not the fastest of scooters, but accelerates nicely to 30mph, and has some decent power between 30-45mph - you don't really need anything faster than that with all the lights and traffic slowing measures. a speed camera caught me last night!

maxi or midi - I'm not sure, since I don't know much about other scooters, but from what I observed on the road - probably one of the biggest 125's I've seen. the only bigger scoots are the one's with 250/500cc engines.

I'm planning to do a restricted licence and have a 750 by the end of the year, a jap this time. we'll see how it goes. |
