Okay, so I bought one of these off of my buddy. 4k miles... and still running stronger than I could ever imagine. That's my first part of this review.
Section 1) - Looks/Storage/Accessibility
Looks. The Meitain has a very slick look, and as much storage as a jeep! It's smaller tires really add to the overall look of the bike. I personally don't like smaller tires, but this one... wow. I love it. It's jet blue, and looks almost like a 150. Actually, a 150 side by side and you might guess mine is the bigger bike! I've counted 5 compartments so far! The trunk is big enough to fit my XL helmet in it, a place for sunglasses and plenty of room for tools. Under the seat, there's enough room to fit a six pack, maybe two if you take them out of the package! :-P
There are a TON of lights on this thing. Parking lights, warning lights, 2 headlights, euro tail lights with 2 turning signals and 2 brake lights.
Looks/storage/accessibility rating = 9/10 overall.
Section 2) Performance
This scooter is FAST. Unrestricted I've been hitting 30 uphill, 40 flat. It's a 4 stroke and really has that desirable power for that bigger guy (220lbs) like myself... the riding is very smoothe, and braking it makes you feel like you're landing a plane. Very touchy. It runs quiet, and acceleration is absolutely no problem. It seems like as soon as I touch the throttle I'm going 20-25mph and hit 30 in a matter of seconds.
Performance rating = 10/10
Section 3) Comfort
This thing reminds me of a goldwing. My fiance said she could fall asleep on the back of it! It's got a cushion, and the overall size of the scooter makes fitting 2 people on it very easy.
Comfort is easily a 10/10!
Overall, I didn't trust this brand. It's been more than reliable for my buddy - he put 4000 on it without one problem. I've put about 300 on it and havn't doubted it once.. so I decided that it was a decent purchase.
My mind had definitely changed. This is a very strong, well built, and reliable scooter. I'd buy another one if I had the chance! |
