Fri Feb 01, 2008 6:11 pm   A few guidelines for the Sunday meet

Hi all,

As this is now growing to include a number of non-members as well as members, I'd like to establish a few ground rules for the ride out in the interests of protecting everyone attending.

1) Turning up to the ride means you accept these rules and agree to be bound by them. members who are bringing guests should ensure these guests are aware of these rules and agree to be bound by them, else they don't go.

2) The meeting organiser is Hugh Jazz. This means that what he says goes. He has final decision on all aspects of the ride including who attends, where we go and at what times. Any disagreements between riders will be arbitrated upon by him and his decision in all matters will be final.

3) If a guest breaks the rules then as well as the guest being asked to leave the ride the member who invited them and all his guests will be asked to leave.

4) Safety is paramount and we ride in formation. There will be mature experienced riders at the head and tail of the convoy to lead and shepherd all riders. Bear in mind we will be riding down rural roads in the countryside so any accidents could have very bad consequences. Any riders racing or dangerously overtaking each other will be told to leave, see note 3.

5) We ride at the speed of the slowest bike, this means 30mph on the flat and possibly down to 15mph up hills. if you feel you can't do this and you'd rather race off ahead, then I suggest you keep on going and don't come back.

6) Insurance and licence - this is obvious but make sure you have a valid CBT and valid insurance to ride your scooter. If anything does happen and your licence or insurance is invalid, expect a whole world of legal grief off anyone you injure or damage. No cut-down L plates or illegal neons please, any attention from the police will have a serious effect on the whole ride.

7) Above all else - enjoy yourselves, have fun, ride safely and everyone will have the best end to the day possible, getting home safely.

Hugh feel free to add to any of these as you see fit.

Hugh Jazz

Bof, it is a joke. You can tell because your sense of humour makes the corners of your mouth twitch up into what we call a smile.

Also

You only need permission if you are going out with a fully licensed organization I.e. School trips, College trips, as places like these have to have you sign them other whys they are not insured for you, making you legally allowed to file a complaint and and sue them.

In terms of this tho, we do not need a permission form, as hugh or anyone els does not take responsibility for any of us, including people such as myself under the age of 18. We are responsible for our selves.

Therefore making this a joke :D

That probably doesn't make sense
