iigh
I've just got the Baotain Tanco... after EVERYONE told me not to get a Chinease bike... but on the whole I LOVE IT manily because of it's price from new... I was going to get a 2nd Hand Speed Fight II which a 2005 reg. was about 1k on Autotrader.co.uk  It's like SO much for an OLD BIKE with scratches... So I got a new Tanco in orange for the same price :icon_chav:

It's been great so far... but there's 2 problems that I'm getting sorted out

:icon_rant:

1) It doesn't go faster than 30mph && It sound's like it's going to die when it get's there :? WAYYY Annoying so I need to get it de-restriced then might get 40mph

2) :!: :!: && The most ANNOYING the auto start / electronic is bugged up... Brand new bike had 9km on the speedo when I picked it up now 41km /Picked up on Friday now Monday(I ain't used it much :happens: )//

Well I can kick start it but the electroinic starts not going into the thing or somthing so gota take it back to the shop but :happens:

I'd say to anyone who's looking for a cheap-new bike then this is the one for you && I don't look half bad I have the Orange&Steel ...sounds worse than it looks :bargain:

Don't listen to them! Sure they have a few teething problems but you've saved yourself £500 straight away, not forgetting you don't need an MOT for 3 years.

Get a picture!

The battery might not have had a complete charge in it. Also the alarm system if so equipped, will wear down a battery as quickly as overnight. It's only meant to be armed for a short period of time, at a time.
minor glitches that everyone gets when it's fresh out the box. 8)
Have it uncorked when you have the electrics looked at.

It's just like Stanislav's new scooter.

I like the chinese speedfight clone. I wish I could find one here, preferably a 150cc version. 8)
I wonder if they are even available here in the US?

Yeh ano... I like it but I doubt I'll have it for 3 years anyway  I'll have a car this time next year... but the 500 pound fire & theif for the bike is ALOT cheaper than the 2,700 Pounds they want for car insurance for a 2002 Ford Focus.... so you no xD Get's your from A-B && Yeh I don't put the alarm on in the night now... it's in a locked garage with a locked gates around the house so inless the burglars have a helicoptor  Quote: with a few extras than the standard btqt-12 so.... what is the extras then... :?: Don't really know much about the bike except it was cheap & new && ORANGE so I bought it ++ the Speedfight is a NICE looking bike I done my CBT on one... but I'd rather a new Chinease bike still than a 2nd speedfight so... That's a nice clone also

cant remember the full spec as my daughter ripped the brouchure up but I believe

better clocks
sports exhaust
better quality tyres
bigger wheels

I can tell you its one of baotians top spec models and I think its a lot better looking than the btqt-12

this is baotions description I copied from there site

Baotian BT49QT-12 Tanco

The introduction of Tanco pushes the design towards high performance. Large twin halogen headlamps are sculpted into the design and are complemented by diminutive crystal lensed indicators. The carbon fibre look dials are shaded by a smoked instrument cowling and the seat is formed from dense supportive foam, trimmed in rubberised fabric.
The most obvious design change from other models in the range, is the exhaust system. The “scorpion” styled exhaust takes it’s design from the high performance systems associated with 2 stroke machines. However, as with all scooters in the Baotian range, it is powered by an air cooled 4 stroke engine. Chunky 12” alloy wheels fitted with wide directional tyres make for a stable ride.

As standard, all of our models are supplied with factory fitted alarm immobiliser system and ABS front brakes. A colour co-ordinated top box is available as an optional extra.

Cool:) But just sound's like what the man in the shop told me... LöL I don't know if Carbon fibre is suppose to be strong or what... but before we sorted out the keys for the garage && that I parked it in the house xD Not a good idea because my house is high we a step LÖL so I rode it into the house.... / the frount door xD but it's only a small crack but I think I'll get it mended before I start college in the new year ++thanks' for that info still

As I recall, that scorpion exhaust is nothing more than a catalytic converter disguised as an expansion chamber. Put a regular pipe on there, and it'll actually pick up a mile/hr or 2.

By carbon fiber they mean that the speed and fuel gauges are surrounded by plastic with a carbon fiber look.
