I was in an acident 4 weeks ago when a taxi turned in front of me and wiped me out (blood sore by the way) and my insuarance has written it off :(bit the letter says it would cost £850 to fix and they value it at £950 which I am happy with because it cost me £600 ti but, it goes on to say that I can now dispose of it and that it can be sold as repairable salvage! wat does that mean?? can I fix it and put it back on the road?? and if I do does it get a horrible Q plate or does it mean its to be taken apart and sold on?
Anyone clued up on this? |

I Think they do that here in the States as well on scoots. I know it worked for my Fathers car, The Insurance company paid him and said "you can keep it if you get a salvage repairable title when selling it"
Glad you got it worked out for you over there.

| When mine was a write off they offered me £1000 with no bike or £950 with the bike back. Stupidly I went for the £1000 and no bike and they said they would give me £950 then £50 afterwards. To this day I have not seen that £50 or the tools that I had under the seat. That reminds me to ring them and give them what for! |
