That's not bad, I'm paying £118 with Bennetts including legal and breakdown and I'm 36. You can't carry car NCD over to a bike policy either with any bike insurers, which sucks majorly! I'd deffo recommend Bennetts but there are others such as Rampdale.

I paid monthly with Equity Red Star, but I found them through a broker, not sure if you can go straight to them.

I hate insurance! They always try to rip me off...

Once the expiration date was 4 months earlier than payed for. Explained by insurers as a 'little mistake'.

Then when I received my next insurance paper, it didn't have some little signature, which made the insurance void. Also 'little mistake'.

When I was with Bennetts, they "forgot " to send my certifcate of insurance for a whole year I only noticed when I came to renew my tax. Some dimwit female on the other end of the phone just said "oh, we must have forgotten to send it!"

Would they have paid out in the event of an accident? doubt it.

Highway robbers, the lot of them.

I'm with Lexham, £95 TPO through NIG, who take £47 and Lexham skim £48 admin fee. Bennets don't have the bike listed so wouldn't entertain me.

Quote: I hate insurance! Evil or Very Mad They always try to rip me off...

Tell me about it my son had a kawasaki ar50 with direct choice after 5 weeks we decided to change it.
and bought a chinese scooter

Anyway we were paying by direct debit so we put down £49 deposit on his ar50 and paid one months premium of £27.50
We rang them up and said we have changed bikes and now want to change the insurance over to the new bike.
Anyway they would not insure the new bike on it chassis number and said they need the number plate. I explained its brand new and has not been registered yet and need a certificate of insurance to register it.
No still won't insure it.
So I said well I will have to go to someone else then.
OK we will cancel your insurance and then they said thats £79 left to pay.
I said hang on one minute I have already paid £49 plus 27.50 and you want another £79, I said thats £155 for 5 weeks insurance they just said yes thats right.
I said your company is ripping people off and we won't be using you again.

Rang rampdale and they insured his bike no problem on the chassis number and my son installments are now cheaper.

Now I will always stay clear of Direct Choice they rip of people when you change your bike.

I got my insurance with equity and Rampdale are the brokers.....I was recommended by the dealer who sold me the bike....in return I got free breakdown cover for a year.

I planned on changing my insurance if I get this peugeot but now you said that, think I might wait til it runs out lol

£70 a year with Bennets, TPFT, Brand New 50cc Sukida and I'm 31, sounds like a bargain after reading this!

I'm kinda glad there's no such thing as scooter insurance here after reading this. sounds just as typical as the rest of the crooks. 8)

How the hell do you lot manage it!? :? :? :?

I'm 22 quid a month TPFT! My scoot is a 125 and I went for being parked on a pulic road; the reason for that was simple:

I know a guy who insured his for being garaged when parked up, however, he fired down to the shops for some bits and bobs and some tit nicked his buggy  . The insurance company managed to wriggle out of paying as in the small print it said if it was parked within a 1000 metre radius of the house (or some other silly distance), it would be viewed as parked at the house, and therefore it should have been in the garage.

Bennetts wanted a massive 1000 a year fully comp from me! Now even I know living in Acton is not that bad
